佢係講好得意嘅澳洲手指青檸,我相信呢D澳洲手指青檸食味唔會非常好,如果唔係全世界人都會爭住種,不過講真呢D澳洲手指青檸樣子真係好鬼吸引。

The so called "澳洲手指青檸" is actually a kind of what we call "bush tucker" here in Australia.  They grow in the wild, and are only recognized by the indigenous locals; (Aborigines).  They are now being collected in the north tropical part of Australia, and are used to served as a kind of rare and expensive delicacy mixed with salads or deserts in the top end hotels and restaurants that are frequented mostly by oversea tourists.  I have yet to see one being grown in the local suburban gardens or botanic garden;  neither are they available  for sale at the nurseries that I have visited.

我google過" Australian Finger Lime"
發現有些美國網址有這種手指青檸及樹苗賣,2年大樹苗@US$30。
如果你住的地方可以郵購樹苗,你可以試下。

Just to add a little comment to the "Australian finger lime"; as I mentioned before, its is an Australian native, and the leaves shape is quite distinct, they are narrow, small and sharp, very different to the normal citrus leaves; it grows to form a bush, and is very much unlike the tree shape of the general citrus.  There is a normal citrus lemon tree in the background for comparison.

Here is a ref. from Wikipedia:

And for your ref. here is a good link:

I have tried growing lemon and oranges for a few times.
I bought grafted citrus from nursery,
climatised  them to my garden;
then planted them into the ground with good soil and citrus fertilizer.
However, I had never been successful, mostly my fault, they had been neglected.

Last summer, when I was visiting a nursery,
my craving of growing citrus tickled me again.
As usual there were mostly grafted ones; but the nurseryman pointed out some
that were  grown from seedlings.

I bought a few, some grafted Imperial mandarins, grafted Nagami kumquats;
I also bought a Meyer lemon and a Tahitian lime that were grown from seedlings.

The kumquat was already flowering when I bought it,
I harvested just over half a kilo. and I preserved them with raw sugar.
There were no flower on the lime, or mandarins yet.

Look at them now:

is the seed brought from tabao?

"Tabao?"  What is it? I guess you meant packing up the left over food from a restaurant meal to take home.
No, they wouldn't be selling seedlings there, the ones I bought were from a nursery.   Not a baby nursery either .... ;)

Norman, I think qrst is talking about taobao 淘宝, a Chinese website for online shopping similar to eBay and Amazon

Good. Thanks for sharing with us.
