[新聞] 大量水母在澳洲黃金海岸

A giant swarm of jellyfish has been spotted floating off Narrowneck this morning after weeks of invasion across Gold Coast beaches.
Photographer and lifesaver Grahame Long snapped photos of the blue mass while out on patrol today.

“I’ve seen plenty of jellyfish around before but this was certainly the thickest I’ve ever seen,” said Mr Long.
“They were all congregated in one area.”
The mass has since dispersed and a trail now extends from Surfers Paradise to the Gold Coast Seaway.

Jellyfish blew into the Coast across Christmas because of strong north-easterly winds and have since strayed across our shores, bothering swimmers and surfers who are frequently getting stung.
In recent days the Coast has also been hit with blue bottle stingers and a walk along the shore will see both spotted along the sand.
