Carra will now be monitored by club doctors, who have yet to confirm how long he will be out.
Meanwhile, Sami Hyypia will be available against Toulouse on Tuesday night despite breaking his nose at the Stadium of Light.
The Finn came through a training session at Melwood on Sunday.
Club spokesman Ian Cotton said: "Sami has a broken nose but will be available for the second leg of our Champions League qualifier.
