澳洲雪梨鱼市场36小時内卖出900吨海鲜

今年雪梨Sydney Fish Market)生意狂热。在平安夜声即將敲响之际,人们将疯狂购买多900吨海鲜。

雪梨鱼市场自在Pyrmont開始经营以来,今年已经是第十五個年头了,在聖诞節即将到来之际,雪梨鱼市场開始了長達36个小時的馬拉松式经营。

雪梨鱼市场于周五下午5点停止营业,届时将會有900吨海鲜在這36小时之内賣出,这一销量将占到年总销量的10%

预计,將有180售出,即平均每分83公斤的售出。此外,将有160万吨蠔售出,平均每分钟卖1000吨。

yeah it's crazy, I went with gf about 3 years ago at about 1am to see what its all about. 1 in the morning, and the carpark was full!

HK has flower market before CNY, guess this is kind of the equivalent for Sydney

But I don't understand the statistics though, firstly:

and then

将有160万吨蠔豉售出,平均每分钟卖出1000吨

1000 tonnes of oysters a minute???? Even 1000 OYSTERS a minute sounds exaggerated!

And Aussies don't eat 蠔豉... that's what we have with 髮菜 hehe
all the buyers must be wholeseller....

多谢指出“Aussies don't eat 蠔豉.Oyster 应该翻译为生蠔,澳洲賣蠔是連壳的。澳洲人吃蠔大约有三種:一,加入新鲜榨柠檬汁
生吃;Grill焗:二,加咸猪肉(Bacon)同喼汁一起焗。三,用面粉、牛油同牛奶先煮成面粉糊,再用面粉糊包在蠔,最後放上芝士Parmesan cheese一齐焗。
those shops in fish market they have their shops around , can buy same quality seafood with cheaper price and no waiting time..
