KUYT SATISFIED WITH PORTO POINT

Dirk Kuyt admitted he was happy with a point after ten-man Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw in Porto.
The Dutch international, who levelled the scores with a 17th minute header, felt the Reds did not do themselves justice in the first-half and was frustrated that they were forced to play the majority of the second period with a man less.

"I think we have to be pleased with a draw after playing 30 minutes with 10 men," he said.

"We did not play well in the first half and tried to improve in the second period but we were unlucky with the red card.

"In the first half we struggled to pass to each other but like I said, we did better in the second half.

"Porto is a very strong team and at least we didn’t lose. We think we can beat them at home and I think in the end we did okay.”
