yeah, agree, depend where can you find a job that make your living. I never live in East coast before, but I am very satisfy with LA, at least it's easier to find a free parking in most of the places. Also I think NY is hot with high humidity, LA is hot with dry air, sometimes it's too dry, and never snow in the city, or at least I never seen it in the city.Depends your like and your job.
