Lamborghini Unveils the $4.7 Million USD Veneno for its 50th Anniversary

Ahead of its highly-anticipated debut at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, celebrated Italian supercar manufacturer Lamborghini has unveiled its latest work of art: the Veneno. Designed in honor of Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary, the Veneno is based on the Aventador LP700-4 and features a modified version of the automobile’s naturally-aspirated 6.5 liter V12 engine – now boasting 740 hp and a top speed of 220 mph – alongside a complete redesign of both the interior and exterior. Seen here in a special makeup for the Geneva Motor Show, the menacing $4.7 million USD Lamborghini Veneno will only be available in the form of three production models in il Tricolore‘s green, white and red – all of which have been spoken for.

The 2013 Aventador Roadster Dubbed the Most Exciting Lamborghini Ever Built

At the heart of the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster is the same V12 6.5-liter normally-aspirated engine that features a stop/start system, cylinder deactivation, and is connected to a 7-speed automatic transmission – all of which allows for 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) capabilities in three seconds on its way to a top speed of 217 mph (349 km/h). In addition, the engine cover now features a “spinal column” with two lines of hexagonal windows – while the scissor doors have a chamfered edge for the frameless windows. Unlike its Murcielago Roadster predecessor which featured a fabric roof, the Aventador features a carbon fiber version that uses Forged Composite technology and can be easily removed in but a few seconds. Some of the Roadster-exclusive amenities include 20- and 21-inch (front/rear) alloys that lower the vehicle’s weight by 10 kg (22 pounds) – along with a bespoke two-tone finish. The 2013 Lamborghini Aventador Roadster will go on sale next summer at a starting price of €300,000 EUR (approximately $382,000 USD).

2013 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder

Having already seen Lamborghini‘s 2013 Gallardo makeover at the Paris Motor Show a few weeks back, the Italian car-maker presents images to its convertible Spyder variant. Named after a famous breed of fighting bull, the Gallardo has been Lamborghini’s sales leader with the Spyder at the top of most car lovers’ list. The 2013 iteration sees the same mockups as the coupe, which means a more angular new front and rear fascia as well as 553hp and 540 Nm of peak torque. Although the same in regards to performance, a variant Spyder Edizione Tecnica will also be made available, featuring a removable roof, 19-inch alloy wheels, a fixed rear wing, standard ceramic brakes, and bespoke color schemes.

Lamborghini Gallardo 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale
It’s hard to top previous Lamborghini models, but the Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale has no problem taking the title as the most extreme Gallardo created to date. The car takes inspiration from the successful Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo race car, fusing racing aesthetics in a road worthy package. The car features a V10 power plant that generates 570 HP as well as a rear spoiler for increased dynamic stability during high-speeds, both of which are used in the racing version. The lightweight construction is thanks to a carbon composite material that helps it jump from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds. The Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale sports a brand new “Rosso Mars” finish that symbolizes Italy’s traditional racing red while the car’s “Thrust Mode” helps with launches from a dead start. The Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale creates a truly stunning driving experience and will be produced in a limited run of 150 numbered units.

Lamborghini Urus SUVMany car enthusiasts probably haven’t seen the two words “Lamborghini” and “SUV” in close proximity to one another in some time, yet here we are. Dubbed the Urus, Lamborghini has plans to roll out the SUV at the Beijing Motor Show, but preliminary images have already hit the internet. Constructed on top of the same platform as the Porsche Cayenne, Audi Q7 and upcoming Bentley SUV, the major difference is that the Urus is 220 pounds lighter than either of those sporty offerings. Aesthetically, low-slung headlamps are the most prominent feature. As for under the hood, power is expected to be provided by a 5.2-liter V10 engine that produces 584 horsepower. Expect further details regarding specs and pricing after the official debut in Beijing.

Introducing the all-new 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, a supercar that boasts a gorgeous exterior with an even more impressive package beneath the hood. Powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine, the automobile is connected to a Graziano ISR 7-speed automatic transmission and a Haldex all-wheel drive system that enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, and hit a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph).

Lamborghini Sesto Elemento

Succeeding ‘A Surreal Look into Lamborghini’s Egoista,’ the Italian carmaker delivers yet another video highlighting one of its adventurously designed supercars. Officially debuted at 2010’s Paris Moto Show, the Sesto Elmento – Italian for “Sixth Element” – is a two-seater coupe with a 6-speed paddle shift semiautomatic transmission and a 5.2 liter V10 engine that matches Lambo’s highly-circulated Gallardo. Constructed mainly from carbon fiber to reduce its total weight down to a size comparable to that of a subcompact – thus becoming the lightest Lamborghini ever made – its name is appropriately in reference to the atomic number for carbon. The automaker announced late last year its plans to produce just 20 Sesto Elementos exclusively for track use and today we get our first look at the performance of this wonderful piece of engineering.
