The river shown in the photographs is the Caristales, which is located near the town of La Macarena in Columbia, South America. During the dry season there is not enough water to support the dazzling array of life in the river, but during a brief span between the wet and dry seasons, when the water level is just right, the many varieties of algae and moss bloom in a dazzling display of colors. Because of the rain and mountain oxygenates, water and rocky bottom do not contain any mud,so there are practically no other underwater vegetation.the water is so clean that the bottom can be seen ,fish doesn’t live here just because of that unique characteristics of the channel 0 u& N% X1 q& z% qtvb now,tvbnow,bttvb
it's just amazing how nature is able to create such wonderful colors through chemical reaction of living organisms, thanks for sharing the science behind the colors.
