2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK Tuner Concepts

RENNtech Rally Racer
The first concept comes from Florida-based tuner RENNtech,a company responsible for all matter of modified M-B products. Basingthe Rally Racer on the Pikes Peak Hill Climb and its “anything goes”Unlimited class, this GLK is sure to have a few tricks up its sleeve.While the rendering doesn’t show much in the way of exteriormodifications—new wheels, brakes, and some minor aero tweaks—this isfairly typical of RENNtech. It does sport a specially built hybridpowertrain that is said to assist in acceleration, so we expect themajority of the changes to be mechanical.

Specializing in exotic and muscle-car restoration, Ontario’s Legendary Motorcar Company is turning out the Four Corners Rock Crawler, the outdoorsiest one of the bunch. Complete with two-tone paint, roof lighting, a push bar, and off-road wheels and tires, this iteration of the GLK looks like it would be more at home on the trails than anywhere else. The big surprise is the winch system that’s been fitted to propel skate and wake boarders; the idea being that once up to speed, they can grind down the Rock Crawler’s special side rails—although we’re not sure exactly how it will work and can envision only multiple hospital visits.
