老莊哲學一直為中國人所信奉熱愛，以致於發展出來的哲學係以人為本。
莊子《秋水》篇中指出:

莊子與惠子遊於濠梁之上。
莊子曰：「儵魚出遊從容，是魚之樂也。」
惠子曰：「子非魚，安知魚之樂？」
莊子曰：「子非我，安知我不知魚之樂？」
惠子曰：「我非子，固不知子矣；子固非魚也，子之不知魚之樂，全矣。」

莊子認為自由自在是一件很快樂的事，當他看到魚兒在水中悠游，就把自己直接感受投射在魚兒，最後得出「是魚樂也」的結論。
可是，理性的惠子執意追究「知」的來源，覺得人與魚是不同種類，怎得知魚是很快樂？
莊子說，即使同種的人與人之間，相知也是一樣難啊！你怎知我不知？
又正如梁啟超所言：「苦樂全在主觀的心，不在客觀的事」。
所以，心怡人自在， 心寬地自寬。


當一個人心情愉快時，看樹、看花、看人......看什麼都很美。
反之，一樣的東西，換做一個心情悲傷的人，就很難看出其中美感。


人在觀看事物時都有主觀情感的投射，不同的人才會看到不同的世界與感受。
