Thanks for the explanation but I still don't buy it all because I was in the audience when David Copperfield was making the statue of liberty disappearing.  The seats were arranged in the liberty Island and the seats were on the ground.  To make a turn table will need huge construction and I did not feel the ground was moving neither.  There must have been something more to this magic !
