[世界賽車比賽] F1 teams agree to ban double diffusers

F1 technical directors have agreed to make so-called 'double diffuers' illegal from 2011.
Reports said the decision to ban the controversial rear aerodynamicsolution was taken by the teams at a meeting of the Technical WorkingGroup late this week.
The double diffuser concept was pioneered by Brawn, Williams andToyota in 2009, and subsequently adopted by all the other teams afterthe FIA declared it was legal.
The 2010 cars have been designed with further iterations of theconcept, but for 2011 the conventional diffusers will return, pendingthe approval of the F1 Commission and World Motor Sport Council.
It is hoped that, in conjunction with the major aerodynamic rulechanges introduced in F1 at the beginning of 2009, the double diffuserban will slow the cars and make overtaking easier.
